Eva Jinek broke down in her talk show on RTL 4 yesterday when table guest Marc-Marie Huijbregts told about his fierce traffic quarrel in Amsterdam. “Gay*l? hahahaha!”
Marc-Marie Huijbregts was completely shocked last summer. The comedian was assaulted after an innocent confrontation in traffic. It was discussed yesterday in Jinek, where he promoted his new theater show. In it he tells about several cases in his life where he feared death.
“Whoa, hello!”
Hostess Eva Jinek: “One was when you were attacked on the street.”
Marc-Marie agrees: “Yes, I was attacked here on the street a while ago and later I thought: for the same money they would have been two crazy people, why did I stop and why did I want to talk to those people?”
What exactly happened? “That car almost hit me, so I called: ooh, I’m here. I was on my bike. I made the call in a very friendly manner. Not to, but a bell. Like: ooh, hello! But that didn’t come across to them at all and they were immediately very aggressive. That woman was immediately angry.”
Discus Thrower
It was very intense, says Marc-Marie. “I saw the car stop and then I stopped. I shouldn’t have done that. I should have just kept cycling and thought: bye! But that woman came out, she was a very tall woman, a Ria Stalman-like woman. That discus thrower from 1936. A very big woman.”
That woman walked up to him. “And she really pulled out like a discus thrower. He hit me so hard in the face. I stood there and I thought: I can’t kick her or something. Then her husband immediately got out of the car and I thought: that’s great, he’s coming to de-escalate. I thought I saw that. Well, not at all! He said, ‘We’re going to push you into the water!’”

Marc-Marie was completely stunned. “Did I fight back? New! I told the police that she said ‘dirty gay’ and then she said: ‘No, I never said that. I said ‘homolu’.’ Well, that’s much more fun!”
Eva then lies completely in a tear. “Hahahahaha! Homol*l! hahahahaha.”
Dan: “But wait a minute, do you really think you died then?”
Marc-Marie: “No! I didn’t think I was going to die, but I thought, for the same money – they were crazy already – they’d have had a gun. So why are you stopping?”
