In the euro zone, retail sales fell less than expected in March. Revenues fell by 0.1 percent compared to the previous month, as the European statistics office Eurostat announced on Thursday in Luxembourg.
Economists had expected an average decline of 0.3 percent. According to revised figures, sales fell by 0.3 percent in February. Initially a decline of 0.2 percent was determined.
Compared to the same month last year, retail sales rose by 1.2 percent. This was expected.
