The new EU Deforestation Free Products Regulation (EUDR) has been postponed by 12 months. The content of the regulation remains unchanged and will enter into force at the end of December 2025. This means that companies have one year longer to properly prepare for the EUDR. The central government will use the coming year to help the business community with this.
‘Test year’
Since the EUDR requires the necessary administrative actions, LVVN, NVWA and Customs have discussed with the business community using 2025 as a test year. The government will take the initiative in this, so that the interest groups of the various sectors can properly prepare companies to meet all requirements in the future.
