European defense needs “big bang”, says new EU commissioner: “Russia can attack us before 2030”

The European defense sector needs a “big bang”. This is what the new EU Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius (67) says. Greater investment in defense is the only way Europe can counter Russian aggression, he says. According to Kubilius, it is possible that Russia will attack an EU or NATO country before 2030.
