FC Bayern starts the Champions League with a game at Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund against FC Copenhagen. The games in the Europa League and Europa Conference League have also been scheduled precisely.
BVB will be the first German team to play a group game in the 2022/23 season. Dortmund will play against FC Copenhagen on Tuesday (September 6th, 2022) at 6.45 p.m. RB Leipzig welcomes Shakhtar Donetsk at 9 p.m. that evening.
The three other German teams in the Champions League are represented in the slot that starts a day later. FC Bayern Munich will then play at Inter Milan, Bayer Leverkusen at Club Brugge. Eintracht Frankfurt, landed in the elite league of European football because of the triumph in the Europa League, starts with a home game against Sporting Lisbon.
Home games at the start for Union and Freiburg
The Europa League starts closed on Thursday (September 8th, 2022). The two German representatives each have home rights. 1. FC Union Berlin welcome Belgian club Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, while SC Freiburg meet Qarabag Agdam from Azerbaijan.
1. FC Cologne first in Nice
For 1. FC Köln, the Europa Conference League begins with an away game at OGC Nice, the French club coached by Lucien Favre. This game will also kick off on September 8th.

Because of the World Cup, the European cups will be one after the other. The last group games of the Champions League are on 1./2. November, in the two smaller competitions it will be November 3rd.
