Status: 08/19/2022 1:23 p.m

The German canoeists showed no weaknesses on the second day of the European Championships in Munich-Oberschleißheim. Four boats made it into the finals.

In the second attempt, Jakob Thordsen advanced, who was the only German boat to make it into the semi-finals the day before – the Lower Saxon won his semi-finals over 1000 meters there. The men from Vice World Champion Germany were also successful in the kayak foursome over 500 meters. Third place was enough for the German women, who also paddled over 500 meters. Second place was enough for Lisa Jahn in the Canadian one over 200 meters.

In the men’s race, Fabien Schatz was only seventh, but he can still progress through the semi-finals. Jonas Draeger had to do it twice in a row – the man from Dresden finished fourth over 200 meters both in the one-man kayak and in the two-man with Moritz Florstedt. For him and Florstedt it is now a detour to the semi-finals.
