Cyclist Inge van der Heijden from Schaijk has won the Leiecross, a competition in Kortrijk, Belgium. The European champion from Crelan-Corendon rode alone in the lead for almost the entire race.
Behind her, her Belgian teammate Marion Norbert Riberolle finished second. Third place also went to a Belgian: Julie Brouwers.
The cyclo-cross cyclists will be in action on Sunday at a World Cup race in Namur, Belgium.
