Co-favorite FC Barcelona has reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League thanks to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
After the disappointing first leg (0-0), the Catalans prevailed 2-1 (1-1) in the round of 16 second leg at the Turkish top club Galatasaray Istanbul thanks to the winning goal of the former Dortmund player and kept their title chance after being relegated from the Champions League.
Top talent Pedri (37′) and Aubameyang (49′) turned the game around for Barcelona, accompanied by loud whistles from the spectators. Marcao had previously given Istanbul the lead (28′).
AS Monaco with goalkeeper Alexander Nübel and striker Kevin Volland, on the other hand, were eliminated after a 1-1 (0-1) draw against Sporting Braga in the round of 16 (first leg 0-2). The quarterfinals will be held on April 7th and 14th.
