The wait for a new “Euphoria” season is over. The third season of the series will be available to stream on HBO Max and Ski Wow starting April 13th. Shortly before the release, series creator Sam Levinson remembered some of his companions.
Sam Levinson remembers Eric Dane and Angus Cloud
Series creator Sam Levinson recently premiered the next season of “Euphoria” at the TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles. He thanked the entire cast and dedicated the season to “those we lost.”
The long wait between the new and the last season was also associated with setbacks. This refers to the deaths of actors Eric Dane and Angus Cloud as well as producer Kevin Turen.
The director said: “Some people wonder why so much time passed between the second and third seasons. There were obvious reasons for this – the strikes, the challenge of balancing a filming schedule with our in-demand cast – but the real reason was that we were looking for a way to pay our respects to those we lost.”
He continued: “When Angus died, it was hard. I loved him with all my heart and fought hard to keep him clean. The year he died, 2023, he was one of 73,000 people in America to die from a fentanyl overdose. I learned a lot that year, but most of all I realized that death gives meaning to life. You can’t be arrogant about existence. You’re forced to come to terms with it “To confront the fact that life itself is a miracle, a gift, a profound blessing.”
“The Meaning Behind the Absurd”
The 41-year-old added at the premiere that he sees the third season as something that will give meaning to all the setbacks over the last few years. Dedicating the season to “those we lost: Angus, Kevin and Eric,” he added, “The Rebbe says, ‘The only way to see great light is through great darkness.’ Well, it feels good to be on the other side.”
The series “Euphoria” will not forget its deceased cast members.
