EU-Handelministers gathered about trade war, Klever is committed to de-escalation: ‘But do not hesitate to hit hard’

Return back or de-escalate? EU-trading ministers will bend on Monday in Luxembourg during an extra deliberation about the trade war with the United States. The Netherlands is on the line of the European Commission. “It is important that we stay calm, de-escalating and proportionally respond,” says Minister Reinette Klever (foreign trade) on arrival. “But we don’t hesitate to hit hard if necessary.”
