Etro dedicates his new shop to men’s tailoring

The Italian fashion house Etro opens a new store in Milan.

The business in the brand’s Italian homeland will focus exclusively on men’s tailoring and made-to-order production, Etro said on Monday. The opening in Via Monte Napoleone will take place on January 14th.

Likewise, Etro announced a co-ed show of the women’s and men’s collections during Milan Fashion Week in February. It is intended to consistently represent the vision of creative director Marco de Vincenzo. The SS18 collection and the digital presentation of the SS21 collection already relied on a joint fashion show, although at that time the brand employed a creative director for men and women, the siblings Kean and Veronica Etro.

“Imagination is a place of infinite possibilities, and in February we will seize it by bringing together our male and female universes in a unique narrative that will convey the brand’s values in all their unifying power,” De Vincenzo said in a press release .

It was only in November that a recapitalization of Etro was initiated by the investment company L Catterton in the amount of 15 million euros after the company suffered heavy losses in 2022. The goal is to achieve sales of 500 million euros within five years. This should be achieved, among other things, by opening new shops.
