Etam presents inclusive lingerie collection

The French lingerie label Etam has presented a new collection that distances itself from gender norms. The collection, launched under the name “Gender Free”, is aimed at “everyone and everyone”, as Etam writes in a statement.

The collection includes briefs, shorts, bras and bodies in neutral colors such as white, taupe and blue. Well-being played a special role in the development process – particular attention was paid to freedom of movement, stretchability and wearing comfort.

For the Gender Free collection, Etam used a new fiber for the first time: the Umorfil Beauty Fiber. The fiber is obtained from the collagen of fish scales, which are a waste product from fishing. Through an upcycling process, the raw material becomes a bionic fiber from which a silky, soft material can be spun. According to the company, the material has moisture and temperature regulating properties.

The collection hopes to break through gender barriers and norms, especially in ready-to-wear fashion. The entry-level price for the collection is EUR 12.99 for panties, and the highest price is EUR 29.99 for bodies.
