Esther Sedlaczek keeps her family away from the public; not even her husband’s name is known. But that of an ex-partner.
Sports presenter Esther Sedlaczek is now the mother of three children. At the beginning of 2025 she announced that she was pregnant again, and a few months later she went on maternity leave. “Now having my third child, who is also an absolute dream child, and seeing our family grow like this is the greatest thing for me and everything else is put on the back burner,” she said in an interview with t-online shortly before the birth.

Then at the end of July 2025 there was the good news: the baby is here! “We are very happy as a family and are all doing well,” she told the “Bild” newspaper a few days after the birth. About a month and a half later, Esther Sedlaczek returned to her work. And now she is working for ARD again and reporting on the World Cup in the USA.

The 40-year-old’s first-born daughter is now seven years old, and two years later she had a son. The father of her children is a Munich businessman, whom she married in 2019. She is guarding his identity and has not yet revealed a photo or his name. But the public knows an ex-partner of Esther Sedlaczek – and he is no stranger.
“Yes, we are together”
Before her marriage, Esther Sedlaczek was in a relationship with soccer star Kevin Trapp. “Yes, we are together. And we are happy,” the then Sky presenter confirmed to the “Bild” newspaper in October 2013. There had been rumors about their love beforehand.
