Esprit has a new Wholesale Director Germany

A few days ago, Esprit gave an initial insight into the plans for the intended international comeback, and now a new head of wholesale has been appointed.

Nils Ermert has been appointed Director Wholesale Germany at Esprit. The designated head of sales announced this on his LinkedIn profile. Accordingly, he has held his new position since the beginning of February. FashionUnited contacted Esprit and asked for confirmation of the personal details.

Ermert comes from the electrical appliance manufacturer Dyson, where he held various positions for five and a half years, most recently as Head of Key Accounts. He gained his first experience in the fashion industry at the Düsseldorf clothing retailer Peek & Cloppenburg. He started there first as an intern and then as a working student before holding the position of Associate Event Marketing Manager for three years.

International realignment and a move to New York City

Some changes are currently pending at Esprit. The clothing retailer first announced plans to relocate the creative headquarters to New York before the internationalization of the brand was specified in a statement last week.

While expanding international business is the brand’s main focus, it also sees potential for further growth in Europe. In the future, Esprit will focus on improving quality and increasing brand value and moving away from “dependence on marketing” in the EU region, the company’s Hong Kong headquarters said on Friday.
