Clothing retailer Esprit Holdings Ltd. has reassigned its jewelry and watchmaking license for the European market. On Tuesday, the company announced the conclusion of a corresponding agreement with the jewelry group Christ Group. Accordingly, Christ will take over the license from the previous partner TMS Group on January 1, 2023. However, TMS will remain “licensing partner for watches and jewelry in the Middle East and in several Asian and African countries,” said Esprit.

Axel Fischer, Head of License at Esprit, explained the decision: “The Christ Group is the ideal license partner for Europe,” he said in a statement. “By working with such a well-known and strong partner as Christ, many additional, high-quality touchpoints are created with the Esprit brand.” This “creates the basis for realizing growth potential in Esprit’s key markets”.

As part of the new partnership, Esprit-branded jewelry and watches will “continue to be available in selected retail stores, from stationary partners and in the Esprit Group’s e-shop,” the company said. “A new era” is also beginning for the Christ Group: the jewelry retailer “is entering the wholesale business and is also offering Esprit products to other retailers,” according to a statement.
