ESPN: Haaland rejects Manchester United over transfer

Berlin (dpa) – Dortmund’s striker Erling Haaland is said to have canceled Manchester United regarding a potential change in the summer, according to a report by the US TV broadcaster ESPN.

Accordingly, the current situation of the Red Devils is too uncertain for the courted Norwegian soccer player. For the BVB striker, it is of the utmost importance to play in the Champions League next season.

United are currently seventh in the English Premier League, three points behind Tottenham Hotspur in fourth. It was previously reported that Haaland had already decided against moving to FC Barcelona. Thus, Real Madrid and Manchester City appear to have the best chances of signing the 21-year-old. His contract in Dortmund runs until the summer of 2024.
