The Aprilia announcement came with an official press conference organized directly at Mugello, home of the 2022 Italian GP: Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales will remain the riders of the Noale team (at least) in MotoGP until 2024.

continuity aprilia

The renewal of Espargaro was a central theme in the 2023 riders market, given the great season of the Spaniard on a motorcycle, the Aprilia RS-GP 22, which is proving to be an absolute level prototype, even such as to allow the Italian team to play for the World Cup. Thus, with over a third of races already disputed, the word has come to an end. Espargaro has renewed for another two years, until 2024, in fact. Now nothing is missing to focus on the Mugello GP and on a world championship race that was far from obvious on the eve of the World Championship. For Vinales, on the other hand, the renewal until 2024 represents the certificate of confidence that the CEO Massimo Rivola had always confirmed the former Yamaha Spaniard: now, in addition to verbal trust, there is also a written agreement to give Maverick the professional continuity he needs to express his potential.

the words of espargaro and vinales

“It was what I wanted”, underlined Espargaro, currently second in the World Championship, “with this team we have grown together and now together we will continue”. For his part, Vinales confirmed: “My horizon with Aprilia is broadening, I really believe in the RS-GP project”.
