In the ninth episode of Sometähtie’s Sinkuelämää series, Esko Eerikäinen has a date with his old friend, J. In the episode, Eerikäinen says that there has been an on-off relationship between the two.
– We met and didn’t meet and met and didn’t meet. At some point there was a small break when we couldn’t see each other at all, Eerikäinen describes.
He says that he has known J for three years, during which time a friendship has developed between them.
– It’s always nice to be with J, when it’s so easy to be with and you can laugh and laugh, Eerikäinen says after the meeting.

However, Eerikäinen is satisfied with the resulting friendship.

Later, Eerikäinen talks about the appearance pressure he experienced. Six years ago, he left the Hunks dance group, where he had to be “in order with his life” all the time.
The body that changed with aging caused Eerikäinen a personal crisis.
– When I couldn’t even get my body back to the condition it was in before, I suddenly had a terrible identity crisis about who I really am and how I look in the mirror, Eerikäinen says.
– Especially man to man, the mood was really cruel. It was fun to call someone fat.
