The Escort company Deepest Secrets must close its doors on 13 June. The municipality of Moerdijk has decided that because the company consciously breaks rules by allowing employees to blow customers without a condom. The owner speaks of a misunderstanding and doesn’t let it go: “I am fighting this. I don’t want to lose everything I worked for so hard for.”
The escort agency received a permit from the municipality in April 2020. But that permit is now being withdrawn. The reason: the company would structurally deviate from the RIVM hygiene standards, specifically when it comes to condom use for oral sex.
Blowjob without a condom
Deepest Secrets was discredited after an episode of the Angry program by Tim Hofman. In it, employees of the agency indicate that they had to work for a long time and were obliged to blow without a condom. The municipality of Moerdijk is now mainly withdrawing the permit for the latter: “Pipes without a condom is contrary to hygiene policy and therefore a danger to public health,” she states in a statement.
According to a spokesperson for the municipality, the owner did not report when applying for the permit that ‘pipes without a condom’ is offered as standard. “If that had been reported at the time, we would not have granted the permit,” she explains.
Not prohibited according to the law?
Saskia, the owner of the escort agency, says that the municipality surprised her with the decision. “It was really a blow. Not only for me, but also for my 25 employees. If I really have to close and they are without work, I am afraid they will end up in illegality,” she says frustrated. She also does not understand that the municipality is only now coming to her: “I have always been open, it is clear on our website that we are offering this service. I don’t understand that they are only now falling on that.”
Saskia’s lawyer is also certainly: “The most important point is that it is about oral sex without a condom. According to the rules in Article 3: 9 of the APV, this service is not covered. This is not included. Voluntary, unprotected oral sex between adults is not forbidden.” The municipality says that they might not have given the permit if she knew everything she knows now. According to the lawyer, the municipality should not have refused the permit either.
Smacking campaign
In previous responses, she called the complaints of former employees “a slander campaign”. According to Saskia, the reason for the complaint at the municipality was primarily a personal conflict between her and the employees. “Now they want to destroy me and that hurts me a lot,” she says. According to Saskia, they have not lied to sucking without a condom: “That will be made clear from the start when you are applying. If you don’t want that, just as good friends, but then you shouldn’t come to work here.”
No matter how the complaint came to the municipality, the judge will ultimately have to decide whether Deepest Secrets can keep the permit. If the company continues after 13 June, there is a penalty of 25,000 euros above its head. But Saskia doesn’t want to let it come: “Of course I just want to keep to the law.”
Together with a lawyer, she will therefore object to the withdrawal of the permit, she says. “I hope the municipality will see that this is based on a misunderstanding.” If it is not possible to withdraw the decision of the municipality, she might adjust her method. “I want this company to continue to exist,” she says emotionally. “Otherwise I have to give up everything I have built up.”
