Erzurumspor FK, which guaranteed promotion to the Super League with 2 weeks left before the end of the Trendyol 1st League, received the championship cup.
The blue-white football player, technical staff and club managers came to the celebration held at Erzurum Rally and Event Area by an open-top bus.
The program organized here started with a moment of silence, the reading of the National Anthem, and a show by the Ataturk University Private Foundation Schools mehteran and zeybek team and the Metropolitan Municipality bar team.
Thousands of blue-white fans filling the field shared their team’s championship enthusiasm with the banners “Like a brother” and “Love grows from generation to generation”, which were hung on the field by cranes.
Speaking at the celebration ceremony, Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Deputy President Mecnun Otyakmaz drew attention to the success of the Erzurum representative, especially in the second half of the league.
Stating that the blue-white team deserves the championship, Otyakmaz said, “I congratulate you, your team, and especially our president Ahmet Dal, from the equipment man to the management, who deserve the championship like its mother’s white milk with the successful performance. I would like to express my gratitude to the honorary president Mehmet Sekmen, the valuable party leaders, and everyone who contributed to Turkish football for their support. May this championship be beneficial. Greetings from this brother to his brothers.” he said.
Erzurumspor FK Honorary President Mehmet Sekmen also stated that he was excited about the championship celebrations and said, “Today, we are gathered here not just around a championship, not around a cup, but in front of a city, an ideal. We are not intimidated. We know that there is unity, togetherness, spirit, excitement and success in the spirit of this city. There is effort in the spirit of this city. Together, we will raise this city to its feet again. Because there is a championship in the spirit of this city. There is the spirit, ideal and determination that founded the Republic of Turkey. Hopefully we “We have to revive this spirit, this ideal.” he said.
Club president Ahmet Dal stated that the championship was not won in one day and said:
“This success was kneaded with years of effort, patience and sweat. We went through difficult times. We were criticized and greeted with cheers. We were tired and worn out, but we never stopped serving this love, this crest. We never gave up our belief in bringing this team to the historical championship. Because we knew that this crest does not know how to give up, this city does not kneel. The point we have reached today is never a coincidence. This success is for all of us and this is just the beginning. Our Erzurumspor deserves it.” “We will continue to work together with the same belief and determination to take our team to new heights, because we are strong together.”
After the speeches, the technical staff and football players were called to the stage one by one and given their medals and championship cups.
The celebrations continued with fireworks and ended with the concert of singer Merve Özbey.
