Since the start of the season, Erzgebirge Aue has not only lost the league lead, but also its coach. After three defeats in a row, the Saxons finally celebrated another victory.

FC Erzgebirge Aue has ended its sporting crisis. At SV Sandhausen, the team coached by interim coach Jörg Emmerich won 6:4 (3:1). The goal festival was a liberation for the Saxons, who had recently lost seven of ten league games. On January 2nd, coach Jens Härtel will take over the team from Saxony.

Omar Sijarić (26th, 41st and 58th minutes), Kilian Jakob (31st), Ali Loune (70th) and Sean Seitz (77th) scored for Aue. Sandhausen initially took the lead with a goal from Jakob Lewald (10th), Sebastian Stolze (57th), Dominic Baumann (76th) and Jeremias Lorch (90th + 5) also scored for the hosts from Baden-Württemberg, who went to the lost for the third time in a row.

Arminia Bielefeld surprisingly dropped points in the promotion race. The cup scare came on Saturday against the struggling SpVgg Unterhaching, despite being behind three times in stoppage time, but still managed a 3:3 (1:1).

Manuel Stiefler (32nd), Julian Kügel (65th) and Johannes Geis (84th) gave interim coach Sven Bender’s guests, who have now been winless for 14 games, the lead three times, Marius Wörl (34th), Mael Corboz (79th) and Merveille Biankadi (90th + 2) equalized in each case. Goalscorer Stiefler saw yellow-red for Hachingern (71st). After 18 games, Bielefeld is in fourth place, five points behind league leaders Dynamo Dresden.

FC Ingolstadt moved behind East Westphalia, inflicting a serious home defeat on Wehen Wiesbaden with a score of 5:2 (2:0). Zeitler and Grönning scored twice for the “Schanzer”, who are back on track after the crisis in early autumn and have won five of the last seven games.
