Erzgebirge Aue celebrates first win of the season

Erzgebirge Aue has celebrated its first win of the season in the 3rd soccer league. The second division relegated team without a win in nine games defeated SV Meppen 3-0 (2-0) and gave up the Red Lantern to SpVgg Bayreuth, at least temporarily.

Tom Baumgart (31st) and Dimitri Nazarov (45th + 5) put Aue on the road to victory already at the break. Steffen Nkansah (49th) increased after the break. Maximilian Thiel saw the hosts red card for gross foul play (63rd).

Aue parted ways with coach Timo Rost during the international break, and Carsten Müller took over the post on an interim basis.
