In the 12th week of Trendyol Super League, Antalyaspor lost 3-1 to Beşiktaş at home. At the press conference held after the match, Antalyaspor Coach Erol Bulut made a statement.
Evaluating the match as two halves, Bulut said, “Unfortunately, the football we played in the first half made us lose the match because it contained too many individual mistakes. We fought in the second half, found the goal and tried to turn the match. However, the third goal we conceded in the 86th minute made it difficult for us to come back. I am satisfied with the performance and fight in the second half.”
“OUR PASSING ERRORS AND OPTIONS ARE TROUBLE”
Stating that individual mistakes are the biggest problem of the team, Bulut said, “Football does not forgive this. We need to minimize these mistakes. Our passing mistakes and options are problematic. We conceded the first goal while making play from the defense, and it was a lucky goal for Beşiktaş. In the second goal, we lost a ball that we should not have lost.”
Emphasizing that they have difficulties in sharing players in set pieces, the experienced coach said, “Footballers sharing is not like that in set pieces. We need to be harder, more biting. We are having difficulty in this regard.”

Bulut, who also criticized the referee management, said, “I did not watch Doğukan’s penalty position, but it was not a penalty. Unfortunately, the referee made his decision in favor of Beşiktaş in many small positions. The fourth referee should also see what the central referee could not see.”
Stating that some players are not physically ready, Bulut said, “A few of our players, including Storm, are not at the level we want. The general physical strength of the team is not at the level of the league. My teams are generally teams that run and fight a lot. We will try to close this gap a little during the national break.”

Referring to the allegations of “leaks within the club” reflected in the press, Bulut said, “If something leaked, I will not remain silent, I never have. Nothing like that happened today, but the problem is not with other clubs, but with some people within us. If someone spoke to our analyst in this way, I will take action on it.” Finally, sending a message to his players and fans, Erol Bulut concluded his statement by saying, “Football players need to get out of their comfort zone. They have 4 days off, but everyone should be prepared for it. Antalya is a beautiful city, it has the sun and the beach, but the fans expect a fight from us. Our fans who fill the stadium want victory, we must be patient. We will make some decisions if necessary.”
