Eric de Munck, the former Hollywod expert from RTL Boulevard, promises eternal loyalty to RTL after his failed adventure with Yvonne Coldeweijer. “It was a pretty intense year,” he says.
The fake show expert Eric de Munck decided to leave RTL Boulevard last summer to switch to Talpa, where he started working as editor-in-chief of the new juice show with Yvonne Coldeweijer. Apparently he was annoyed that he was only allowed to stand at the Boulevard desk and deliver lame news about Hollywood.

Eric was visibly more false and feisty than Aran Bade and Rob Goossens, but was given few chances: apparently RTL wants Boulevard to continue to babble and not be too controversial. And he hoped to make controversial TV with Yvonne, but according to critics, he could not work with that woman and Eric also resigned. “With a big argument.”
Eric eventually returned to RTL after New Year’s Eve to work on the TV flop RTL Tonight. Now that the program has been taken off the air, Eric can stay. And he is grateful for that.
‘It takes me by surprise’
What’s going on with Eric? “Sometimes it overwhelms me. That unrest. The feeling that there must be something else. Something bigger, something different. Both privately and in my work, I can think for a moment that I am missing something,” he says on Instagram.
“But strangely enough, I keep coming to the same conclusion: my heart is actually already quite full. With the people around me, with the things I get to do and with all the adventures that have already come my way.”
Coming home
It’s good the way it is, Eric says now. He doesn’t need the Yvonne ones. “Maybe that is what coming home means. Not always looking for more, but realizing how much beauty is already there.”
He continues: “Today feels extra special. After a fairly intense year, I am back at Blue Circle. The place where my television career as an intern started more than twenty years ago and since then I have been able to create so many great titles for RTL.”

And Eric is happy to continue doing that for RTL. Forever. “Now I can start a brand new chapter for RTL 4 again. Grateful. Happy. And secretly also a little proud.”
