EO wants Blue Bloods back to NPO2 after tug-of-war for survival | show

The EO program Blue blood, which almost disappeared from the tube last year, will be metamorphosed again from January. The broadcaster is in talks about returning the royalty program to NPO2. The return of a permanent presenter is also being considered.

After major shifts in the programming of the NPO, Blue blood to disappear from television in May 2021. After an uncertain time, as the makers described in the following months, the program continued to exist. However, it went on in a different jacket. It moved from NPO2 to NPO1 at the beginning of this year, it was broadcast at an earlier time and presenter Jeroen Snel disappeared behind the scenes. The presenter, who has been the familiar face of Blue blood continued as editor-in-chief.

In January 2023, the program will be overhauled again, various sources reported to this site. The broadcaster wants to return to NPO2 at a later time than the current broadcasting time on Friday afternoon at half past four. There is also talk of the return of a regular presenter. It is unclear whether that will be Jeroen Snel again. Colleague presenter Anne-Mar Zwart, who made several specials from Blue blood presented, would be one of the candidates to become the permanent face.

The EO confirms that it is in talks with the NPO about ‘a different format of the program’, but finds it too premature to respond substantively.
