Entire neighborhood in Zwevegem closed off after young man calls police about uranium in his garden

In the West Flemish Moen (Zwevegem), the De Olieberg neighborhood is completely closed off. “A report had been received from a man who said that he had ‘accidentally’ enriched uranium – a radioactive substance – in his garden,” says Jana De Wulf of the local Mira police zone. It is not yet clear what exactly happened and how great the risk is.
