Chat happened to Prince Louis? On Easter morning, when he joined the rest of the Royal Family for the traditional procession to St George’s Chapel in Windsor, everyone expected his usual tantrums, running through the waiting crowd, constant grimacing and maybe even a few bored yawns. Instead, whoever was there found themselves faced with a mini George. Because now that he is about to turn 8 (he will celebrate them on April 23rd) too Prince Louis it shows that he has grown up and has learned (finally) to be a Royal.

Prince Louis transforms into a true Royal

Elegant in his double-breasted dress, William and Kate’s third child he appeared with mum and dad immediately showing off ways he had never shown before. The little one hadn’t been seen for quite a while at Royal events and, in addition to having gained several centimeters in height – like his brother George and sister Charlotte – he seems to have changed his character. What happened to the “old” Louis?

Louis’ past mischief

Beloved for the funny pranks that even his grandfather King Charles forgave him during royal events, This time Louis refrained from making faces or from grabbing sweets and chocolates given by fans present. He avoided running screaming from one side of the path to the chapel to the other, as he had done in the past. Instead he maintained a dignified air the entire time, waved to the photographers and never left his parents’ side.

His fans like the new Louis

“How well they educated him!”, fans write on social media. That little boy who made faces and tongues more than once, and who, a few years ago, on the balcony of Buckingham Palace he made everyone laugh by covering his ears with his little hands so as not to hear the deafening noise of the aerobatics at the Trooping The Colournow appears distinguished and fully aware of what his Royal role entails.

Prince Louis also becomes an expert in protocol

Now the little prince Louis obeys without fuss and, like his brother and sister, follows the rules of protocol to the letter. The little boy even waited patiently and calmly in front of the church entrance for the arrival, in the state Bentley, of his grandfather Carlo, who by tradition must enter first. And he also behaved very well after the Easter service, when he went with his family to the home of the Dean of Windsor, Christopher Cocksworth, for a formal occasion, a tea with pastries in the presence of dignitaries and important guests.

Just a few months ago, to keep her son calm in such a situation, Kate would have been forced to promise him sweets and chocolates. Charlotte – in the role of older sister and now a veteran of public events – would continue to scold her peppery little brother. And her great-aunt, Princess Anna, would even have become impatient. The little prince, no longer unpredictable, makes all the Royals breathe a sigh of relief. But how we will miss the naughty Louis of old…
