Did you know that a 180’er is actually not the best score in darts? After all, the triple 20 is a lot bigger than the bullseye, which is only worth 50 points. Darter Ryan Joyce threw an almost impossible finish.

The 40-year-old Englishman managed to throw not one, not two, but three darts into the smallest box of the dartboard. That way he rolled a score of 150 and won the leg.

A finish that is almost never thrown in darts. Also because it makes much more sense to start on a triple at a 150 finish. But Joyce didn’t budge. He walked back to his table and only showed a small smile.

Joyce won 6-3 against Dutchman Christian Kist in the first round of the Baltic Sea Darts Open in Kiel, Germany. Earlier in the day, Jimmy van Schie won 6-0 against Ian White.

Later this weekend, Jeffrey de Zwaan, Niels Zonneveld, Richard Veenstra, Kevin Doets, Dirk van Duijvenbode, Wessel Nijman, Jermaine Wattimena, Danny Noppert and Gian van Veen will also be in action. Michael van Gerwen is on holiday and will skip this tournament.
