Energy labels are expanding to smartphones, tablets and new type for drying cabinets: Focus on battery and durability

Energy labels that you find on devices such as washing machines, refrigerators and televisions will be expanded to other products from 20 June. First, smartphones and tablets will have such an energy label and from 1 July, drying cabinets will be assessed with a new, clearer scale. The intention of this intervention of the European Union is to better inform consumers about the environmental impact of their purchase and to encourage them to make more sustainable choices.
