Enel will increase its capacities in the area of renewable energies in the USA on a consolidated basis by 285 megawatts to 11.6 gigawatts.
With Gulf Pacific Power, the Italian supplier agreed to exchange shares in existing wind farms. In the course of the project, Enel will increase some wind farm participations to 51 percent and give other, mostly small participations, as stated in a message from Rome. The subsidiary Enel Green Power North America will also pay Gulf Pacific Power around $ 50 million in cash.
It is expected that as a result of the transaction, the ordinary EBITDA of the EnEL group will increase by about $ 50 million annually, although at the same time its net fault debt is growing by about $ 20 million.
The Enel share temporarily wins 0.38 percent on the stock exchange in Milan to 8.11 euros.
