Sport is society, culture, aggregation. It is a very strong language of cohesion, a coded message that unites people. Glue between those who speak different languages, have different habits and customs. Puts it together. And beyond being a means, it ultimately represents society itself. Enel Cuore, a non-profit organization of the Enel Group, which operates alongside third sector organizations rooted in the area and pays close attention to the issue of social inequalities, has always been very active in the value of sport in this sense. Over the years, more than a thousand projects have been supported, disbursing approximately 125 million euros. Special attention goes – obviously – to the suburbs, where the risk of taking wrong turns is higher. This is why it is necessary to intervene, educate and send a message of inclusion and hope. Even through sport. As? Offering young people healthy alternatives, teaching them to be together, manage conflicts and work as a team. It means investing in the future, taking a step forward towards a better society.

Enel Cuore has therefore chosen sport as a means to convey positive messages and transmit values. But above all to include. In fact, it becomes fundamental to educate children about loyalty and healthy competition, essential tools in the education of a child entering the world of sport. It is estimated that in Italy around 30% of minors do not have access to all this and this is where the mission starts. At the same time, in fact, the “homework help” project was activated in the cities of Cagliari, Bari, Naples and Rome, in collaboration with associations and social cooperatives. Furthermore, in the same four cities Enel Cuore also supports the creation of educational sports centers that host training activities: summer centers, study groups for homework and creative workshops.

Thanks to the participation of Sport Senza Frontiere it was possible to organize a series of events aimed at spreading this principle. Sport that breaks down walls and builds stronger, more inclusive communities. These events, held in the squares of many Italian cities, reached more than 1200 minors and 800 adults, giving children, adolescents and families the opportunity to take part in games, sports competitions and training sessions for free, led by trainers and tutors from Sport Senza Frontiere. Then there is another important part of the project, linked to the formation of groups of teenagers under 18, with the function of Sport Agents and with the aim of best transmitting the social message inherent in sport. These kids, also given their young age, are closer and more sensitive to the needs of children and adolescents and become actors in the growth process.

The project also included i Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. It is called “Joy Summer Camp Adventure and Winter Camp” and has the aim of actively involving more than 1000 minors between 6 and 17 years old, offering them the opportunity to approach the world of Winter Olympic disciplines through direct and educational experiences. Enel Cuore has renewed its support for the association for the two-year period 2025-2026, contributing to the creation of three residential sports camps. Thanks to this initiative, 90 kids will have the opportunity to spend a week completely immersed in the universe of the Winter Olympic Games: they will experiment with different disciplines, they will get to know the history and protagonists of the Olympics up close and, above all, they will live its founding values - respect, tenacity, friendship, commitment and teamwork. The places chosen for the initiative, which started in September and will end in March 2026, are Bormio, Livigno and Oasi di Zegna (Biella).
