Technical director Patrick Busby is happy that the club icon remains involved with FC Volendam. “Today Robert announces his impending retirement as a professional football player, but this does not mean the end at FC Volendam. Robert will sign a new three-year contract with FC Volendam and will be part of the technical staff. The precise division of roles within Rick Kruys’ staff is still being rolled out, but we are very pleased that we are keeping a club icon on board with Robert.”
