The number of companies that are ready to hire former employees of competing enterprises without restrictions has grown significantly over the past decades, according to the SuperJob survey data (available from RBC). In 2010, 56% of employers spoke about this, and in the current year – already 72%. As the authors note, this is influenced by the shortage of personnel provoked by the coronavirus pandemic and the demographic hole of the 1990s.

The survey was conducted on January 10–25 among 1,000 respondents (HR managers and other representatives of the personnel departments of enterprises and organizations) in 149 districts.

According to the study, construction companies (86%), banks (82%), enterprises in the field of logistics (79%), sales (74%) and services (65%).

Another 17% of employers reported that they employ ex-employees of competing firms only in exceptional cases. This group included mainly companies engaged in the field of IT and telecommunications (25%) and manufacturing enterprises (24%).
