Six windmills, solar panels and a pond from which drinking water is extracted. These are the sustainable plans of Empenaar Wouter Leuven, who wants to make five new homes completely self-sufficient. The municipality praises the plan for its ‘unique character’, but local residents fear for their view and think it will cause more flooding.
