New materials for more extensive sports lessons, a special clinic or an approach for recruiting new members. In the municipality of Emmen, 230,000 euros is available this year for this type of initiative.
The municipality of Emmen is one of the partners in the Sports Agreement Emmen Moves. “We think it is important that everyone who wants it has the opportunity to exercise actively and live a healthy life. We are happy to encourage this through the Sports Agreement,” says alderman Pascal Schrik. “The contributions are not only intended for sports clubs or schools. Anyone with a good plan can apply.”
The Sports Agreement can contribute to small and large plans. Contributions can be requested in categories up to 500, 5,000 and 10,000 euros. Residents, schools and companies can report to the neighborhood sports coaches of the municipality of Emmen if they need help with the application for their plans. In 2022, 100 applications were submitted.
On Monday 13 March there will be a meeting about the Sports Agreement in the stadium of FC Emmen. During this evening it will be explained what the Sports Agreement entails and what is possible and examples of previously awarded contributions will be presented.
