Emma Lunder spent half of her life in the trail and at the shooting range. Now the Canadian wants to experience new adventures – far from competitive sports.

Emma Lunder uploaded a series of photos on Instagram. The opening snapshot of the fourteen pictures already reveals that the message behind it is an emotional. Because: In the photo, the Canadian biathlete can be seen in competition clothing while she waves radiantly into the camera and holds her skis in the other hand. Then Lunder explains: “Next week in Oslo, the last biathlon races of my career will take place.” In her post, she looks back on her 17 -year -old career and remembers her beginnings in 2009, her first World Cups and the honor of representing Canada at seven world championships and two Olympic Games.

Team colleagues also appear in the photo series. In addition, the 33-year-old also posted a snapshot from the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang. Above all, Lunder emphasizes the unforgettable milestones, including her first top 30 place in the World Cup, her first top 10 result and her first participation in a flower room. But most of all she appreciates the people she was able to get to know in this way.

“To travel the world while I followed my biathlon dreams, was a privilege, and the biathlon family, both internationally and in Canada, made this trip special,” said Lunder, which is currently on 64th place in the overall World Cup. Now she is looking forward to new adventures in life. The World Cup graduation in Oslo will mark your end of the career next weekend.
