According to the newspaper, Kimiläinen left the offer together with his father Hannu Kimiläinen with. The other two who submitted an offer are Sami Liljedahl mixed Miia Raussi and Minna Jokinen.

Hannu Kimiläinen describes her extensive network as her daughter’s trump card in the Hämeen Sanomie article in the application.

– We have a good combo. I myself have run a lot on the tracks, and I also have a lot of experience in business life, Kimiläinen, who works in management positions at Lassila & Tikanoja, tells the magazine.

The city of Hämeenlinna will choose a new tenant to run the operation of the motor track later this year. The lease will enter into force in October.

According to Hämeen Sanomi, the city of Hämeenlinna estimates the ten-year contract to be worth around three million euros. The new tenant of the track is obliged to make various development and renovation investments worth 200,000 euros in the track area over ten years.

The new tenant receives income from the fees charged for the use of the track.

Emma Kimiläinen is Finland’s most successful female formula driver. She drove in the 2019–2022 women’s W Series, being one of its top drivers. In the 2021 season, he finished third in the series’ total points.

The W Series, which ran into financial difficulties last year, ended prematurely in the middle of the season. The continuation of the series is a question mark. F1 has launched a new women-only formula series, but Kimiläinen is not on its list of participants.
