“A dream”: German speed-ace lands on the podium

It has already indicated in the past few weeks and has now been confirmed. Emma Aicher crowned its strong shape and made it onto the podium in the departure.
When Emma Aicher arrived at the finish line and saw on the scoreboard that she had secured second place in the departure in Kvitfjell (Norway) behind the Austrian Cornelia Hütter, she tore her arms up and celebrated her success. Her German teammate Kira Weidle-Winkelmann also came running and hugged the 21-year-old.
Aicher had only 0.15 seconds behind the leading, an outstanding result. “I am very happy. I tried to ski as I did in the training sessions,” she said on ZDF. “It is a dream, you work towards it all the time. It felt good. It was a bit surprised, but it’s cool that it worked.”
There is already a second chance in the departure for Aicher in Kvitfjell on Saturday, and a Super-G takes place on Sunday. Most recently, Aicher had convinced the sixth in the Sestriere slalom and also demonstrated its good shape at the Ski World Cup in Saalbach.
