Freiburg offensive talent
Emilio Kehrer is leaving SC Freiburg after a total of five years and moving to Cercle Brugge for the coming season. The German U20 international has signed a contract with the Belgian first division club until June 2025 with an option for a further year.
In the past season, the offensive talent played 30 games for the Breisgau second team in the 3rd division and contributed to seven goals (4 goals/3 assists). “We’ve been watching Emilio closely in recent months since he made his breakthrough in the Freiburg youth team, but he’s also considered a great talent in the German youth national teams,” said Brugge’s technical director Carlos Aviña Ibarrola about the 20-year-old. “Obviously he still has progress to make, but he will impact our core immediately because he brings speed, skill and a hard work mentality. Emilio fits perfectly with our style of pressing football. We have great expectations of him.”
