Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke has been told she would be “disappointing” fans of the show if she didn’t do another nude scene on the series, the actress has now revealed. “They sent me the scripts and I said, ‘Oh, here’s the catch!’” said the Brit.
Emilia Clarke also revealed that she once refused to perform a nude scene. And said “Fuck You” to those who told her it would disappoint fans. Speaking to Dax Shepard on a podcast, the actress opened up about how uncomfortable she felt during the “hell of a lot of nude scenes” in the show’s first season.
“I’m much more comfortable (now) with what I’m comfortable with. And what I’m okay with doing,” Clarke said. “I’ve had arguments on set before. Where I was like, ‘No, keep the blanket up,’ and they said, ‘You don’t want to disappoint your Game of Thrones fans.’ And I said, ‘Fuck you.’
The 33-year-old continued: “I took the job and then they sent me the scripts and I read them and I said, ‘Oh, here’s the catch!’ But I was fresh out of drama school and just approaching the job – if it’s in the script then it’s obviously necessary, it just is what it is and I’ll understand it… Everything will be cool.”

“I have no idea what this is all about.”
She then spoke of her amazement at the process of filming for the first season of the series and said: “I’ve come to terms with the nudity before, but then going in and just doing it wasn’t easy. I’m doing everything I’m supposed to in the first season and I have no idea what I’m doing, I have no idea what it’s all about.”
For the Dragon Queen actress, all the nudity was a bit too much: “I’ve never been on a film set like this before, I’ve been in a film briefly twice, and now I’m on a set with all these people completely naked and I don’t know what to do and I don’t know what’s expected of me and I don’t know what you want and I don’t know what I want.”
She went on to say that during this time, there were moments for her where she locked herself in the bathroom, cried and then went to the set to bravely shoot the scene. “And it will be completely fine.”
