Emil Rose Mountain advanced to the ATP tournament in London after qualifying for the UK in the qualifiers Jay Clarken and Spain Feliciano Lópezin.
The opening match of Rose Mountain in the actual tournament was France Quentin Halysia against Tuesday. The Finn is ranked 56th in the ATP tennis singles rankings. Halys left the match in 86th place.
The match became a tight twist. Rose Mountain finally beat 25-year-old Halys 2-1 (6-4, 6-7, 6-4).
Rose Mountain will next take Britain About Jack Draper. Draper, who left the tournament with a wild card, surprisingly won an American in the first round Taylor Fritzinwith an ATP list rank of 14.
Draper is 20 years old and is ranked 99th in the ATP rankings. Rose Mountain and Draper have not met before.
The winner will advance to the semi-finals against either Kazakhstan Alexander Bublik or Croatian Marin Čilić.
