The two municipalities report this in a message just after midnight. Parents of students were informed by letter.
The letter states that the mayor, together with the police “in the context of public order”, decided that Castor College, DalĂ College, Skills VMBO, Forta and Fourteens are closed all day. “This decision was taken because there has been unrest for several days among two groups of young people. This unrest has escalated on social media on Thursday evening.”
According to the letter there is no direct threat or towards the schools, but the municipal administration and the police have decided to exclude all risks. It Noordhollands Dagblad Reports that all secondary schools close for fear of a shooting.
