Emergency caesarean section on New Year’s Eve saves premature miracle baby Djulia: “We couldn’t hear the heart beating anymore, we almost lost her” | Instagram VTM NEWS

Djulia Macrez measures 44 centimeters and weighs barely 2 kilograms. She is already a fighter, because it was close to the baby or the baby would not have made it to 2023. “I was celebrating New Year’s Eve with family, when around 11:30 pm I thought I had to pee, but instead lost a lot of blood. Is immediately knew that something was not right, I was completely panicked”, says the brand new mother Patricia Macrez (34) from Komen. “My mother immediately took me to the AZ Delta hospital, where they no longer heard the baby’s heart beating.”

“They immediately put me under general anesthesia to perform an emergency c-section. The baby is now doing reasonably well, but is of course still very small. I am so happy with this New Year’s present, it could have ended completely differently. If I had been in the hospital five minutes later, I wouldn’t have had a baby right now. I really endured a lot of fears. I held Djuli in my arms for the first time only fourteen hours after birth. That was a lot of fun and hopefully the start of a wonderful year”, says Patricia Macrez. Wonderbaby Djulia also has three siblings to watch over her with Alexi, Morgane and Shannon.
