Elvis in the Ommense church: ‘Gospel as it was intended, he was above all an unhappy, searching person’

The ninetieth birthday of rock legend Elvis Presley was celebrated in a special way on Sunday evening in the Reformed Church in Ommen. Elvis pastor Fred Omvlee took churchgoers through the life story of the legendary singer – ‘who loved singing gospels’ – and draws lessons from it that he believes apply to everyone. “Even if you end up like Elvis, you will not fall out of God’s hand.”
