A tech billionaire Elon Musk founded a new artificial intelligence company called X.AI Corp. The company authorized the sale of a total of 100 million shares. Musk is registered as the only executive in the company.

Presumably, the company is part of Musk’s plan to develop the massive X application that the billionaire has dreamed of developing. Among other things, the social media application Twitter owned by Musk ceased to exist, and is now officially called X Corp., whose parent company is X Holdings Corp. However, the application still operates under the Twitter name. Both X Corp and X.AI Corp are registered in Nevada.

He was the first to tell about it Wall Street Journal (WSJ).

As a challenger for Open AI

If X.AI Corp’s artificial intelligence laboratory succeeds in developing effective artificial intelligence, it would presumably bring a new worthy competitor to the artificial intelligence market.

Vergen according to rumors about the billionaire’s plans to develop artificial intelligence have been circulating around the world for some time. Among other things Business Insider recently reported that Musk has purchased thousands of graphics cards required to develop artificial intelligence.

According to the WSJ, Musk has hired a large number of researchers for artificial intelligence development in recent months. Presumably, the company’s biggest challenge is developing a competitor to Open AI, of which Musk is one of the founders. However, he left the company in 2018 after losing a power struggle to its current CEO To Sam Altman.

Open AI is known for its ChatGPT application.

Musk has accused Open AI of being biased and stated that he would like to produce an artificial intelligence model that is more truthful. However, the billionaire has not explained in more detail what he means by this in practice.

A few weeks ago, Musk was also involved in signing a petition, according to which the development of artificial intelligence would have to be put on pause for 6 months, so that more precise restrictions could be developed for artificial intelligence.

The WSJ could not reach Musk for comment on the new AI company.
