The TM community attached great importance to goal scorers when choosing the team for the 24th Bundesliga matchday – all ten outfield players scored at least once over the weekend. In the meantime, team success seemed to be less important: With Mergim Berisha, the Augsburg double goal scorer is represented despite the 3: 5 bankruptcy in Munich, and three professionals from the Revierderby are also in the selection, the draw ended.
Raphaël Guerreiro, who became one of the best scorers in Revierderby history with one goal and one assist, holds the Borussia Dortmund flag high, although for the first time in the 2023 calendar year there was no win in a Bundesliga game. On the Schalke side, goalkeeper Ralf Fährmann, who kept the Royal Blues in the game for a long time with many saves and is therefore there despite conceding two goals, also received the favor of Marius Bülter. The left winger scored in the third game in a row and also equalized in the closing stages.
Including coach Thomas Reis, a total of three Schalke players were appointed to the eleven, making them the largest group together with Bayern Munich. Benjamin Pavard confirmed his impressive form of the past few weeks with two goals on offense and also received the most votes from users with a total of 77 percent. His team-mates Leroy Sané and João Cancelo had reason to celebrate after a difficult few weeks against FCA and are at the Frenchman’s side. The team is completed by the Leipzig duo of Timo Werner and Josko Gvardiol, Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong and SC Freiburg’s Maximilian Eggestein.
