Eleven of the day: RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku dominates

Voted by the TM community

The Transfermarkt community chose the eleven for the 29th Bundesliga match day and nominated professionals from six different clubs as well as Union coach Urs Fischer for the selection. The largest factions are RB Leipzig and VfL Wolfsburg, each with three players. Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku, who scored his points 30 and 31 in the 3-0 win over TSG Hoffenheim this Bundesliga season, was the most voted with 77.5 percent of the votes.

In addition to the France international, team-mates Marcel Halstenberg and Dominik Szoboszlai also made it into the squad after scoring goals. 61.8 percent of the votes went to Lukas Nmecha from Wolfsburg, who scored twice in the 4-0 win over Arminia Bielefeld. The “Wolves”, who are also represented in the eleven of the match day thanks to Maximilian Arnold and Yannick Gerhardt, collected three important points in the fight for relegation.

Luca Kilian from 1. FC Köln received the most support among the defenders with 42.7 percent. Because the defender scored the 3-2 winner against Mainz 05, the “Effzeh” can still hope for a place in the European Cup. BVB goalkeeper Gregor Kobel is between the posts.
