Eleven Limburg youngsters in equestrian talent plan | 1Limburg

Former top rider Jeannette Haazen from Landgraaf will guide Limburg dressage talents on their way to a possible professional existence. It is an initiative of the Limburg Equestrian Sport Foundation.

In the Limburg talent program Limburg Future Pros Three disciplines are now represented: eventing, jumping and dressage.

Jeannette Haazen
Former show jumping coach Rob Ehrens has been doing this for some time with his team of Limburg show jumping talents. Mans Buurman from Roggel guides his youngsters in eventing. Jeannette Haazen has now been added to the coaching staff to help the dressur talents on their way. ‘I have always had to fight really hard to reach the highest level. I have a lot of experience in the horse world, so I think I can help these young talents.”

Vet clinic
The program goes further than just training the three supervisors, says Rob Ehrens. “We want to give them a lot of information so that they can grow and represent Limburg well. In addition to technical and mental coaching, we also go on an excursion to the veterinary clinic in Utrecht. Farrier, nutrition, breeding, all subjects that make an offer.”

Exceptional talent
Manager of the Limburg Equestrian Sport Foundation Cissy Schuring is pleased with the addition of the dressage discipline. “With this program we want to bring even more Limburg talents to the major tournaments. That is good for top sport but also for recreational sports. That is why we are now going to pick out the truly exceptional talents and provide them with intensive guidance.”
