Eintracht Frankfurt’s transfer coup is getting closer

Eintracht Frankfurt’s poker for storm talent Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint-Germain is getting hotter and hotter. According to a media report, the Hessians have now even reached a verbal agreement with the 21-year-old.

Bundesliga soccer team Eintracht Frankfurt is working on strengthening its attack again. This already known fact is now supported by a report from the TV channel “Sky”. Accordingly, the SGE has reached “an oral agreement in principle” with Hugo Ekitike from Paris Saint-Germain.

The offensive player, who has been playing on the Seine since the summer of 2022 but has not yet achieved the breakthrough he was hoping for, is said to be prepared to forego around four million euros a year in order to make a move to Frankfurt possible. With an additional three million euros a year, Ekitike would still be one of the top earners in Hesse.

However, an announcement is unlikely to be made any time soon. According to “Sky”, negotiations with PSG are yet to begin – they are unlikely to be easy.

A youngster at Eintracht Frankfurt is also being discussed

Ekitike’s contract in Paris does not end until 2027, and the men from the City of Love also paid a whopping 28.5 million euros for the talent’s services to Stade Reims. In addition, numerous other clubs are said to have the former French U21 international on their list. Among others, VfL Wolfsburg, Newcastle United and Olympique Lyon were said to be interested.

Frankfurt has been looking for a top-class replacement since the last-minute move of Randal Kolo-Muani, who left for PSG in the summer of 2023 for around 95 million euros. Ekitike could now fill the gap.

In addition, “BT” from Denmark connects Conrad Harder, a just 18-year-old, with a commitment to the Main. However, it would probably be harder to bet on the future. The youngster has so far scored three goals in 20 professional games for FC Nordsjaelland.
