Eintracht Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche called for a more mature appearance after the 3-0 defeat in the Bundesliga game at 1. FC Köln.
Coach Oliver Glasner’s team must “learn to be more mature in certain situations,” said the 42-year-old after the defeat in the Rhineland.
“We weren’t serious enough,” explained Krösche. “We had a lot of half-chances where we made the wrong decision. If you want to score a goal, you have to score.”

Krösche was particularly annoyed by the development of the decisive 0:2 by Ellyes Skhiri. “They countered us after our own corner kick, which wasn’t properly prepared. It was played too frantically,” said Krösche.
The defeat was “totally annoying,” said Krösche, “because it was totally unnecessary. With all due respect to the people of Cologne, we decided the game ourselves.”
Due to the bankruptcy, the Champions League round of 16 slipped to sixth place, with a win, the Hessians would have jumped to fourth place.
